How to Find us

Cherry Hinton is a small village on the South-East corner of Cambridge, Cambs. It is about 3 miles from the old City centre, and slightly less from the railway station. These days it is considered to be within the city boundary. The village still retains much of the feel of a village, and has a vibrant shopping centre, a library, a post office and 3 pubs. The village grew from two small settlements - Church End and Mill End, separated by marshy land. Church End was named for the old Anglican church of St Andrews at its centre.　Mill End was named for a mill that was demolished before the 19th century.

The Baptist Church building is on the corner of Cherry Hinton High Street and Fisher's Lane, near the centre of the Village. The building was built at the end of the 19th century and is a typical Baptist chapel, with the main door at one end leading into a large full-height main room. The building can comfortably accomodate a congregation of 90 although 60 is more common!

The Family Centre is on the opposite side of Fisher's Lane, and was built using church funds in the middle of the 20th century to replace a earlier building. It has one large and one small meeting room, a kitchen and toilets. It is used for various church activities, including the Youth Group and the monthly Sharing Lunch.
